I have now finished all of my media coursework. Everything has been converted and uploaded. My magazine has been uploaded and I am now in the process of converting my evaluation video.

This week is the final week of my media coursework.
I am trying desperately to finish all of my evaluations which are taking a long time to render. I found out why, this is due to me rendering in a too high quality for what is needed. I have shortened the quality down so that it will be easier to render from Premier Pro.
Also, I am using variety in the way that I display all of my work.
I am using: Scribd, Prezi, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Youtube, Slideshare and of course Blogger. These are a great way of organising all of my work to achieve the best grade possible. In the last few days all I need to do now is upload my final magazine and render another video.

After finishing my magazine, I printed them out and put them in my folder. Then I got a sample of media students to evaluate my work. I got three students to sit around a table with my work in the middle. The first question I asked, was just to discuss my magazine. I filmed it all on a video camera and then imported all the videos into Adobe Premier Pro and editied the vidoe to make a short video of 6.5 miniutes long.
In total I asked 6 questions, for example...

I finished my Inide magazine called 'Amplified'. I comnpleted my Front cover, contents page and double page spread. It took me a while to comlete these but eventually I finihsed. I cam into school during half term to complete it and itwas very benefitial. I amk now currently priniting it onto A4 so it can be analysed by my peers.

Today I started my final double page spread. I inputed images of my cover model and wrote up more of my article. It is now over 1000 words long so is suffiecent for a double page article. I still need to add effects to other pages and tighten up my contents page.

Overall it is good, however you need to make the background a more appealing colour abd change the black font as it is boring.

The picture is really good as you have changed the apature sight to blur the background.

Thuis week was the week where we had to evaluate out own and our classmates work. On Photoshop we displayed out work and opened the annotation tool where we wrote about the strengths and weaknesses of eachothers work. I gave constructive criticism to everyones work and people did the same to me.
I then went about recording all of my data collected so I could create a good survey, and imprive my work to my best ability.

The week before Christmas was very stressfull because many of my coursework pieces were due. I worked very hard to complete: Front Cover, Contents Page and Double Page Spread. Also I did my sell line ideas after creating these on Adobe Photoshoot.

Last week in AS Media Studies, I started and completed my Article Draft. basicaaly, this is the article that will appear on my double page spread, with a few adjustmens.
I wrote my interview in the style of an NME double page spread interview to follow the conventions of popular Music Magazines. I based it on a question and answer style, so the magazine asks the question, followed up by an answer by the band member or artist. In this case the artist who is also the model for my magazine.
Next week, is the last week before christmas and I will start creating my magazine on Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Today I uploaded my schedule. Firstly I did it in Microsoft Word where I wrote about what I need to do. Then I uploaded it to Scribd which can be uploaded to my blog.

Today I created my Mise en Scene. I toom a photo of my model from photoshoot and analysed what he was wearing, his posture, the setting and his facial ecpression.
I did it on microsoft powerpoint then converted it onto slideshare so i could display it on my blog.
I still need to complete my article draft which I will do next media lesson.

Today I began making a schedule for what work I need to complete and what deadlines I will set my self. This is to help me submit work when it is due and not be behind in my Media AS coursework. I did this simply on word and will finish it next lesson.
I also tidied up my blog, by adding more labels and changing the background colour so that it increase the standard of presentation.
Next lesson I will start on my mise en scene which is due soon.

This week for AS Media I created contact sheet after taking photos for my photoshoot. Firstly I uploaded the photos onto the computer and saved them in my documents. I then opened Adobe Bridge CS3 and imported the photos onto the program which them opened them on photoshoot. This created my contact sheet.
Also, I started work on creating a Schedule so that when I am stuck and do not not what work is due next, i can refer to my schedule for advice.

Today, I sketched out my first draft for a front cover. I drew it with a pencil and ruler but I filmed myself sketching it to make it seem original and get more marks. I then uploaded the video onto Adobe Premier Pro and shortened the time frame making an 11 minute clip play for 30 seconds. It looks really good and I added an Indie style song, similar to my magazine genre to fit with it.
I also started making a contact sheet that portrays all of my photos from my latest photoshoot. This will be put on my blog and hosted through scribd.

This week was the week where I did my first photoshoot. We came after school and took out a camera. We then walked around out of school to find good locations to shoot out magazine photos. We will have several photoshoots in the coming weeks but this was the first. We used an SLR camera with a lens that allowed us to fade the backgroud and define the foreground. The pictures looked professional and most pof the photos were a success.
Although some werent so good as we had to experiment with light conditions and arpature sights.

This week I completed my Content and Business Features section of my proposal aswell as completing my Styler of magazine. The style of magazine is portrayed in a Scribd document as I did it on word.
The Content and Business Features tells the examiner how my magazine will succeed against the best such as NME and Q. Also it explains the reasons why i have chose certaint things in my magazine such as : price, and sell lines.

This week is half term and for my coursework I have had t complete a few simple tasks. These are

• Colours (connotations)

I have successfully completed all of these and are included in my proposal and on my blog. My mood board gives me ideas about my music magazine and shows me other genres to give me inspiration. My name is one of many that I am still contemplating. The colours and connotations are basically the colour scheme of my work and what this will represent.

This is the week before half term and I started my proposal. My proposal tells you everything you need to know about my magazine including:

• The name of my magazine
• the business features of the magazine
• how it will sell
• how it will succeed 
• style and genre
• target audience 

All of these will help my magazine succeed. It will be presented on scribd. This gives variety to my magazine aswell as making it seem professional and increasing my marks. Also, when creating my magazine, I will be able to refer to this propsal to see what my next task is and see if I am meeting all of my criteria. If I am not then I will take a step back and evaluate why I have changed it and how I have done this.

This week our task in AS Media was to create a Prezi presentation about Key Concepts for Music Magazine Analysis. They are: Codes and Conventions, Representation, Institution and Audience. Each of these were heading and under them were subheading breaking the subject down into researchable chunks.
I had to research topics such as how music magazines make money and also how they have reacted to the latest tablets and gadgets that could be forcing the magazine, newspaper and comic industry out of business.

Dear Diary,

My first few weeks of AS Media were a success. The preliminary task was to create a front cover and contents page for a school. We had to plan it by drawing and sketching it, then we put it onto photoshop and made it on there. I then uploaded it onto my blog and evaluated it. The magazine was designed for secondary school students. We had to pick a target audience however I picked the whole school. This was to entice the whole the school to buy the magazine.

Our next task was to was to analyse three music magazine. We had to analyse their front covers, contents pages and double page spreads. Firstly we started on the front covers. I chose three Indie magazines: Q, NME and Kerrang! They are the three most famous and three that many Indie and Rock fans can relate with. I then had to upload these onto my blog. I uploaded them onto Slideshare which is a way of presenting Powerpoint files on a blog. It looks very attractive and is a different was to host files.
